WW1 Military Cross (MC) & 1914 Star Trio To- SS-320.PTE (A-SJT).R.CURZON-HOPE.A.S.C & 2-LIEUT.R.CURZON.HOPE (on the pair) Richard Curzon-Hope first landed in France 25-8-1914 serving with the A.S.C and was M.I.D in the London gazette 17-2-1915 for services in France as part of a despatch from November 1914. He transferred to the Royal Munster Fusiliers with service number 6916 & later to the Manchester Regiment with service number 38952. He was commissioned in to the Essex Regiment 25-4-1917 & awarded the Military Cross for services in France in the London gazette 3-6-1918. He was again M.I.D for services in France as an officer with the Essex regiment in the London gazette 24-5-1918.He transferred on to the reserve of officers in 1921 but was recalled for service on the outbreak of war in 1939. He spent all of WW2 serving in the UK & was finally discharged in 1945 due to reaching the age of retirement. When he applied for the issue of his campaign medals at the end of WW1 he was living in Pershore, Wiltshire. MC in its original case & unnamed as issued but detached from its ribbon & EF. The trio is NEF or better & on the full length original silk medal ribbons. Complete with MIC & London gazette details
