Egypt & Sudan medal with 1882 dated reverse & EVII RN LS&GC To- J.JEDWARDS.STOKR.HMS.TAMAR. (Egypt) & J.J.EDWARDS.LG.STOKER.HMS.SWIFTSURE John James Edwards was born in Devonport 11-2-48 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy as Stoker in 1871. He served onboard HMS Tamar during the Egypt campaign of 1882 & was awarded his LS&GC in 1891 which was the same year that he was discharged to a pension. GVF/NEF & Complete with copy service papers.
