2 X WW1 Memorial Plaques to Brothers 1) WILLIAM EATON GUY WALKER. The recipient was educated at worksop College and was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders on the first day of the battle of the Somme 1-7-1916 serving as a captain with the 1/7th battalion of the Notts & Derby Regiment / Robin hood rifles. 2) HARRY CULLIS STEEL WALKER Was educated at Denstone college and was sadly killed in action in France & Flanders 12-3-1915 serving as a Lieutenant with the 1st battalion of the Notts & Derby Regiment. Both recipients were the sons of Major.W.Eaton Walker and Mrs Eaton Walker of Scarrington House, Scarrington, Notts, Both plaques are EF Mint and still retain the original chocolate brown patina. Complete with research details for both recipients that includes copy images of both recipients along with basic research details.
