WW1 1914-15 Trio To- 7023.PTE.T.WILLIS.BORD.R Thomas Willis first landed in theatre of war 2B Gallipoli / The Balkans 10-6-1915 serving with the 1st battalion of the Border Regiment. He is recorded on the war office casualty list as having received gun shot wounds to the face 4-10-1915 & was returned to the UK onboard the hospital ship Assaye.
