WW1 Silver war badge with a horizontal pin Numbered 248658 to the reverse As issued to- 18-566.PTE.J.NELSON.DURH.L.I Jonathan Nelson was one of the original members of the 18th service battalion of the Durham Light Infantry / Durham Pals. He enlisted 26-9-1914 & first landed in Egypt with the battalion 22-12-1915. He was discharged with the silver war badge due to gun shot wounds 24-8-1917 NEF & Complete with MIC & silver war badge roll details.
