WW1 1914-15 Trio & EVII RN LS&GC To- 157740.C.H.FOSTER.CH.AR.RN (Trio) & C.H.FOSTER.CH.ARMR.HMS.CAMBRIDGE Charles Henry Foster was born in Devonport 4-1-1868 & enlisted in to the Royal Navy 2-10-1890. He was awarded his LS&GC in 1905 & in 1906 was commended by the Admiralty for zeal & ingenuity in designing a target carrier. He was pensioned to shore in 1912 but recalled for service in WW1 in 1914 & spent most of his time at HMS Vivid except for a spell onboard HMS impregnable in the summer of 1915. He was finally discharged in 1919. NEF & Complete with copy service papers.
