QSA 1899-1902 With clasps for South Africa 1902, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, 1914 Star trio, 1935 Silver Jubilee & GVR 1st type Army LS&GC To- 16473.PTE.W.GEORGE.R.A.M.C (Q.S.A) 16473.QM.SJT/WO.CL.1.W.GEORGE.RAMC (Trio) 16473.S.MJR.W.GEORGE.R.A.M.C (LS&GC) William George was born 2-7-1883 & served in the ranks from 1901 to 1925. He first landed in France 15-8-1914 serving with the 3rd General hospital. He was appointed Warrant officer in 1915 & awarded his LS&GC in army order 110 of 1920. He was commissioned Lieutenant & Quartermaster 20-11-25 & finished his service as a Major & QM 2-7-1938. He was recalled for service in WW2 & served in the UK 1939-1945. He passed away 2-3-1947. NEF & Mounted as worn. Complete with MIC & other basic details. (The clasps on the QSA & mounted in the incorrect order as stated)
