WW1 1914-15 Trio with original photograph of the recipient in uniform To- 18-562.PTE.F.THORNTON.W.YORK.R Fred Thornton first landed in Egypt 22-12-1915 serving with the 18th service battalion of the West Yorkshire Regiment / 2nd Bradford Pals & later re-numbered as TR5-94789. The reverse of the photograph has the recipients name in pencil & states W.I.A 1-7-1916 & was taken by a Bradford based photographer.
