WW1 Canadian Mounted Rifles Draft Cap Badge

A scarce badge but missing both lugs and has two tiny nail holes punch through it. Not sure if this was mounted on a board or perhaps the holes were a means to sew the badge onto a cap when the lugs broke off. Scarce badge but priced accordingly. Could use a good polish.
