Original era issue. GAR 28th National Encampment Badge, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 1894. Complete with suspension and ribbon. In 1894, the GAR boasted 369,083 members, with 1153 delegates attending the convention. These medals were produced using the metal from a 12-pound cannon cast in 1842. Minor fraying to the bottom of the ribbon, the metal portions are near new condition.
