German WWII Navy Officers Dagger, Eickhorn Mfg

Original era manufacture. Etched panels on each side of the chrome finished blade, with an Eickhorn proof on one side. The blade is clean, with no corrosion or plating issues. Gilded brass guard and eagle pommel, with an intact grip with twisted wire binding. The pommel eagle faces to the reverse, the result of over tightening the eagle to the pommel, one of the notorious issues of this pattern dagger. Lightening bolt decorated brass scabbard which retains a good deal of its original plated finish, dented about midway down from the infamous Taxicab door. Clean dagger overall.
