Third Reich Kriegsmarine Officers Dagger-WKC orange grip

Highly detailed replacement pommel has distinctive head and eye features with prominent breast feathering. Dark orange grip has no damage and tight twisted brass wire wrap. Crossguard with anchor depictions and extended capstan ends is wrapped with navy portepee in the correct tie. Double etched blade has sailing ship and fouled anchor depictions with no damage to the edges and a needle like tip. Brown leather washer remains beneath the crossguard and the WKC knights head logo is stamped to the ricasso.Scabbard is the hammered type having a very small 'train carriage' crease to the lower obverse. Scabbard bands are overlapping oak leaf decorated and have oak leaf decorated ring carriers.Nice WKC example manufactured early in the Third Reich period having its pommel upgrade later.
