Third Reich Dress Bayonet and Frog-Etched

Although this bayonet is marked only by the wholesaler or distributor, being E. Frenzel of Berlin, the classic offset grip rivets would indicate manufacture by the E.Pack company. Pommel, backstrap and crossguard retain all their finish and show no signs of misuse. Rifle slot push button operates correctly, and grips are perfect. Obverse blade is etched with the “in memory of my service time” dedication with a centrally placed eagle with outstretched wings flanked by oak leaves and acorns. Reverse blade is plain, having only “Solingen” to the upper ricasso. Scabbard is undented. Dark brown frog is of two rivet construction with no loss of stitching. Minor cracking of the surface finish to the reverse.
