Bayonet/Hunting Knife

Here's a strange, unique item! What appears to be a K98 blade, modified to receive a beautifully crafted stag grip, topped with a masterfully carved eagles head. Blade is void of any readable makers mark and has some damage to the edge, and age in the surfaces. Scabbard has some curious markings on the lug and has been repainted at some time. Fitted is a brown leather, four rivet frog. Impossible to determine the time frame for this piece, but clearly incorporates some period parts.
