Third Reich RAD Hewer Early Hanger

This leather hanger is a fine example of the first style which would have accompanied the “full stag” ,and early all nickel Hewer. The fragility of the leather attachment soon became obvious and this design was soon superseded, therefore to find one in any condition is difficult. This piece shows wear from use, but is still in outstanding condition with some surface cracking and minor tearing to the lower loop which carried the substantial weight of the Hewer. Eastern European copies of this accoutrement abound, but here is a fine period original in most collectible condition.
