Third Reich NSFK Flyers Dagger-Helbig

These small scale knives are very appealing, normally seen with nickel/plated fittings on DLV issued daggers, later NSFK production featured a full aluminium construction. The grip and the scabbard have been finished with a 'crackle' finish to simulate a pebbled Moroccan leather, and it works astonishingly well. Once painted, it's difficult to tell, without handling the piece, that this is a fraud!No damage to two stage pommel or crossguard. Centre block features a gold painted swastica to both sides. This finish is perfect. A leather blade washer is present beneath the crossguard. Blade grades near mint having no damage, a sharp point and all crossgrain. The Helbig logo adorns the reverse ricasso. Scabbard has no damage with near perfect paint. Satin finish aluminium fittings have all screws present, the upper having the organisations 'Icarus' logo stamped in. The leather covered aluminium hanger is present, the leather being somewhat worn but not to the extent where it exposes the aluminium strap support beneath. Attached to the unmarked spring clip is a maker marked and dated belt loop featuring an aluminium 'D' ring.Hard piece to find in this condition.
