Third Reich 2nd Model Luftwaffe Officers Dagger-Puma

Beautiful example of a PUMA Luft complete with a superb period 42cm portepee wrapped about the grip in the correct tie. Heart shaped pommel is in perfect condition retaining all its finish and having much hand enhancement to the pebbling behind the oak leaves. Orange grip is tightly wrapped with springy silver wire and has toned slightly darker to the reverse. Crossguard eagle is particularly crisp, with highly detailed wing, breast and leg feathering. A brown leather washer remains deep within the crossguard recess. Bright blade grades near mint, having no chips to the edges and a needle like tip. All crossgrain is present, and the distinctive PUMA “big cat” profile in an offset square sits proudly on the reverse ricasso. Scabbard is perfectly straight having all its grey finish and with its bands securely attached. Scabbard throat screws are side mounted and unturned.
