Third Reich D.R.P. Bayonet-No Maker

This unusual bayonet, originally issued to the Deutsches Reiches Post, is not only stamped D.R.P. to the reverse ricasso (partially obscured, possibly due to re-assignment) but is equipped with the metal clad and D.R.P. Stamped frog we associate with these pieces. Crossguard, backstrap and pommel show few signs of age and no signs of misuse. Mortice button operates correctly and rifle slot has a red felt plug. Chequered black grips are correctly attached with domed headed rivets. Plated blade is in excellent condition having only minor in and out marks close to the tip. Scabbard has no dents or other damage and retains the vast majority of its black finish. Black leather frog is in excellent condition and is complete with the D.R.P. marked, black steel wrap which is attached via the four scabbard rivets. Superb
