Third Reich Customs Bayonet-Unmarked

These lightweight bayonets were identical to those worn by police units with the exception of the absence of an insignia on the grip. Eagle head pommel has nice details to the neck feathering with some loss of finish and signs of use as a hammer during the period. Beautifully cut stag grips have dark brown and tan highlights and are correctly riveted. Unmarked bright blade has no damage or loss of finish. There is no maker mark, or blade washer. Black leather scabbard has twin decorative lines to the obverse and a wide seam to the reverse. Upper and lower scabbard fittings are attached by rivets and remain secure. Fittings have some minor scratching.
