Third Reich Fire Dept. Dress Bayonet-L+E

Possibly the rarest trademark to find on a bayonet. Pommel, backstrap and recurve crossguard in good condition with some signs of misuse as a hammer. Majority of finish remains. Excellent grip plates correctly riveted on. Plated blade in excellent condition with only minor loss of finish near the tip. To the obverse is the L&E distributor stamp. L&E was an exclusive distributor to the Fire Protection agency, and the only one to include a swastica in their logo. The original leather buffer pad remains beneath the crossguard. Black painted scabbard without dents and with all the finish remaining. Black leather scabbard in near mint condition with only minor loss of finish around the lug hole.
