Third Reich Government Officials Dagger-Alcoso

Considered by many to be the most elegant of the edged weapons produced during the Third Reich, this Alcoso example epitomises that style and flair often demonstrated by designers like Casberg. Eagle head pommel has a fine, undented brow line with much artificial aging remaining in the folds of the feathering. Pommel cap has undamaged spanner holes. Backstrap and ferrule retain all the silvering. Beautiful crossguard has a well detailed eagle and wreathed swastica, with much of the original blackening remaining. Imitation mother of pearl grip plates have some minor damage to the obverse, but no cracking. Bright blade has no damage to the edges and no age staining to the surface finish. The Alcoso Solingen script logo and “scales” trademark are placed horizontally to the reverse ricasso area. A black leather washer remains in place within the recess of the crossguard .Scabbard has no dents or other damage and fine detailing to the stippled panels. There is slightly less definition to the reverse pebbling, due to the rubbing of the dagger against the wearers uniform-nice to see and impossible to fake. Scabbard bands are securely fixed with overlapping oak leaf depictions and triple serrated carrying rings. Super piece, GO's must be the highlight of most dagger collections.
