Third Reich Dress Axe-Gilded

Period Axes are extremely difficult to find, particularly the gold version-and to find one with the correct gilded hangers must be almost unheard of. Here we have a perfect and complete rig-when did you last see one of these??? This is a Hörster axe, although unmarked, having their typical decoration to the head, being a fireman and fire equipment surrounded by acorn leaves. This depiction is perfect in every way, seeming to glow through the gilding. Top and bottom securing screws show no signs of ever having been turned. Plain escutcheon plate and lower fitting are perfect with no signs of damage or abuse. Suspension rings are securely attached. Black leather hangers have push in spring clips at the lower ends, whilst the upper ends meet in a box clip having a spring clip attached. An offset metal belt loop is retained by this clip, complete it this amazing rig. Fantastic opportunity to own a fire axe rig the like of which your buddies have never seen!
