Third Reich Stag Gripped Dress Bayonet-Alcoso

An excellent full rig having the benefit of a brown leather Luftwaffe Frog and Luftwaffe knot. Pommel, backstrap and cross guard retain the majority of the bright plated finish, pommel push button operating and with remnants of a red felt plug in the rifle slot. Needle pointed short blade is bright and devoid of any nicks to the edges, or signs of sharpening. The Alcoso scales trademark is on the upper reverse ricasso. Beautiful stag grips are deeply contoured and correctly fixed using dome headed rivets. Black painted scabbard has some aging beneath the paint surface but no dents or chips. Brown leather frog is of single rivet construction having a separately applied shoe. Some very minor loss of stitching in the upper shoe area but this is not noticeable and could be simply repaired. No visible damage to the lug hole. Correctly wrapped trodell has grey leather strap with matching grey acorn,white crown and white slide. A fine example.
