THIRD REICH Wehrmacht shooting Target

Approximately 13 inches in diameter this beautiful piece has a painting of an 'Auerhann' or Ptarmigan as the central target, upon which are painted the shooters names and location of their winning shots in the Officers shooting competition which took place in April 1943. Presumably this is a copy of the original target ( which would of course have had many more holes!) which would have hung in the officers mess. An open winged eagle with swastica adorns the upper edge, whilst the reverse is ink stamped '1943' A marvellous piece to embellish your collecting room.
