Black SS style Portepee

This beautifully made accoutrement appears to be Austrian or Bavarian, and may have some link with the postal service, the filling to the lower ball being an orange silk material. Acorn material is a twisted springy wire as is the crown, whilst the strap is black with twin gold lines along each edge. Information on this item would be gratefully received!
