Third Reich Black Bayonet Frog

An excellent frog which has become somewhat stiff with age but would no doubt respond to a leather treatment such as Flexolan. Four very small rivets or brads fasten the shoe to the backplate, along with twin lines of stitching which extend as far as the belt loop section. No damage to scabbard lug hole. Minor loss of stitching adjacent to the belt loop on one side. Reverse has a hole at belt loop level presumably to allow period hanging of the bayonet from a nail or similar in barracks.
