Third Reich fire or SS Brocade Sword Hanger

This interesting period single strap hanger consists of a gold and silver brocade facing sewn to a red/brown leather backing and is approximately 20 inches in length. Attached to the upper nickel loop is a secondary brass chain attachment. A spring loaded blackened push in clip is attached to the rear of the buckle assembly. A rare accessory possibly for use with the fire department sword in excellent condition with wear commensurate with age.
