Original miniature basket hilted sword made in Belgium after WWI for sale to tourists visiting the battlefields. Since the economy of the country had been destroyed by war local craftsman resorted to whatever means available to earn a living. In excellent condition, maker marked to the reverse blade and with 'Ypres' engraved to the obverse,having a grip from turned wood. A delightful collectable.
