Third Reich U Boat War Badge

Hitler re instituted the Submarine war badge in October 1939, it was very similar to the 1914 -1918 issue, except the imperial crown was replaced by the swastika. This badge retains most of its finish to the obverse, whilst on the reverse the pin and hinge are still operating correctly. The catch has been replaced at some time in the past. No makers mark is visible.
