RAD OFFICERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN.

Sold
£550.00

Description

Introduced in 1938 to replace the heavy hewer, the officers dagger is a much more delicate and desirable item. This one has lost the original cream celluloid grips and a pair of replacements have been professionally made in hardwood and custom painted. They look very good! Scabbard has two surface dents, one each side at the very bottom. It's also lost the original silver plating, which is still visible where protected by the crossguard etc. Scabbard body looks very good though as the steel is very bright and clean. The blade is actually very nice indeed and near mint with the RAD motto go one side and a nice Eickhorn trademark etched into the reverse riccasso. Actually a good looking dagger and a fraction of the price for a complete, perfect one. (these are $2500 in America)
