THIRD REICH FIGHTING KNIFE 'INFANTERIEMESSER'

One of the small fighting knives carried by Wehrmacht and Waffen SS soldiers as a close combat knife. Wooden contoured grips with 3 rivets. A tubular steel scabbard with single spring to the rear. Enables it to be slid onto items of equipment, a boot top or cross belt. This one has a single edge blade with riccasso. No maker evident. There are two carrying dents to the bottom of the scabbard.
