EARLY 1st Pattn LUFTWAFFE BY SMF.

A classic example of the Luftwaffe 1st dagger in excellent condition complete with its matching chains. These long and elegant daggers were worn by Luftwaffe Officers from 1935 until the 2nd Pattn was introduced in 1937. A Teutonic design, borrowed from Middle Ages swords. This design was also used on Luftwaffe swords. Pommel, crossguard and scabbard fittings are in solid nickel. They have beautifully inset gilded brass swastikas. The blue leather to the grip and scabbard is in super condition and the triple wire grip wrap in all intact.
