MARVELLOUS PIECE OF HISTORY-ORIGINAL SS OFFICERS ARMBAND WITH LABEL BUT ATTACKED BY MOTHS!!

In this era of fakes and reproductions, it's wonderful to come across something that is SO real, it shouts at you!! These early SS officers armbands have become very rare and shot up in price. Mint ones fetching around £600. This is an earlier 3 piece example in red wool. The circular white moire fabric has the black moire fabric swastika sewn to it, and this in turn is sewn to the wool body. There are twin black moire fabric ribbons sewn to the top and bottom edges of the armband. The armband was stored flat for many years in a cabinet, and unfortunately moth larvai attacked the folded edges. There are various areas where they have eaten the fabric but mainly along one folded edge, as seen it the photographs. It's is what it is!!! Inside the armband it still has the original SS paper RZM issue label!! As I said, a fantastic piece of collectable history. Priced with the damage noted, but a great thing!!
