Fairey Aviation Petrol Lighter

A bespoke WW2-era petrol lighter, probably made by Orlik for Fairey Aviation. Hardly used, the lighter is in working order. Based on the Orlik No.67 'Stormproof Tank', the lighter was specially made for Fairey Aviation, as the badge is not simply applied to the top but rather, has been factory inserted into a stamped outline of the logo, which was done at the point of manufacture. This 3-piece chromed brass lighter comprises a main body that contains the flint tube and petrol reservoir, together with a cap and base, which features a spare flint chamber. A lovely item that is in working order, exhibiting minor signs of former use.
