A superb English vintage quartz ship's clock by Sewill of Liverpool, c.1990 Sewill was established as a clock and instrument supplier to the Royal Navy in the era of Nelson and the Battle of Trafalgar. For over two centuries, Sewill's clocks were linked with seafaring and this example is no different - It is not a mere wall decoration but rather, a serious nautical timepiece. The heavy brass case is in superb dent-free condition, housing a professional 'Nova Quarz' electronic movement. A near-pristine example from a historic company that finally shut its doors in 2017.
