WW1 RFC 'Night Fighter' Pocket Watch

A rare 'Luminous' Mark V Royal Flying Corps issue cockpit watch by Zenith, c.1915. Presented in excellent condition, the watch is fully working and running well, but not serviced.Interestingly, in the 1940s the War Department reissued this Zenith to the Home Guard. At this time REME watchmakers serviced the watch and added a bow, plus an 'unbreakable' celluloid glass, they then cancelled out the RAF marking and rebranded the watch as a 'GS Type'. The images show the watch with and without the now yellowed celluloid glass.All in all, a fine collector-grade example.
