US WWII Era, Civil Defense Helmet, Auxiliary Police

Original era manufacture. White painted steel, oversized doughboy style helmet with a simple gray web lining. Civil Defense decal on its front, indicating use by Auxiliary Police Officials. Most of the original paint finish remains, wear to the very top of the helmet only.
