Description
Original era manufacture. A metal cored, braided leather covered swagger stick which measures 22 inches in length. These were introduced in late 1914, as a substitute for the sword then being carried in the field. The long, shiny swords were creating perfect targets for enemy marksmen. These sticks could still be used in a defensive manner, and could provide encouragement to malingerers as needed. Normal age and wear, the leather is in sound condition.
