BRITISH Victorian 17th (Leicestershire) Regiment Bullion Badge (Coatee Tail ?) A lovely bullion on scarlet badge for the 17th Foot. Given that the tiger is facing right, I presume this is one of the pair of badges attached to tails of Officer coatee. Correct me if this is wrong. As can be seen the badge has suffered some damage to the lower leg of the “7”. This has been repaired with bullion wire, not recently, unsure when. There is also minor damage to the top L/H corner of the “17”, otherwise tidy for it's age. Measures 66.5mm H x 51mm W.
