US Spanish American War Infantry Officers Tropical Coat

Original era manufacture. Faded tan cotton drill four pocket coat with blue cotton trimmed cuffs, collar and shoulder straps. Four patch, pleated pockets with pointed flaps; the upper pockets being placed low on the chest. Full complement of brass Indian War era general service buttons throughout. Brass officers eagles and four false embroidered silver 1st Lieutenant bars, forming the rank of Captain on the end of each shoulder strap. The coat exhibits staining to the fabric from the transient blue dye of the trim. No holes or tears, decent size for the era, about a 38 regular.
