81st.Division { West African }

WW II printed example of the black tarantula spider on a yellow backing. Composed of troops from the four West African Colonies the 81st were part of the 14th. Army and took part in the hard fought campaign in Burma. One of the 81st's Brigade trained under General Orde Wingate in long-range penetration behind the enemy lines. { Old stains to the reverse.}
