French Model 1837 Naval Officers Sword & Knot, A Beauty

Original era manufacture. A very fine quality, 19th Century, French Navy Officers sword, model of 1837. The slightly curved, polished steel blade measures 27.5 inches in length, with double fullers and a makers mark on the reverse ricasso. Ornate, and nicely detailed basket guard, and pommel, with a carved horn grip, wrapped with a black cloth cord. Leather bound, steel scabbard, with brass trim, showing a nicely detailed fouled anchor on the scabbard throat. Very clean overall, nice patina where it needs to be, no issues beyond light age and wear.
