German WWII M1940 Luftschutz Police Steel Helmet, ET66 Shell

Original era manufacture. A clean example of a fairly scarce pattern helmet, being a Luftschutz Police M40 steel helmet. Standard Luftschutz beaded combat helmet, finished in satin blue paint, with a period overpaint. Police decal on the left side, and NSDAP shield on the right; no Luftschutz decal on the front. The two front rivets and washers are present the rear rivet is missing. On the rear of the interior of the skirt is written in yellow grease pencil, A2206, possibly the GI's first letter of his last name, and the last four digits of his service number.
