The Cypher of Lord Roberts on an egg-shell blue background to the centre of a crowned circlet bearing the title, ' Commander in Chief's Yeomanry Escort South African Field Force ' with small extensions to the side and base carrying the motto and ' 1900 ' date. Presented personally by Field -Marshal Lord Roberts to the men of the Escort.
