Japanese Signed Sword and Sheath, 20 Inch Blade, Project

Original era manufacture. A true project. The blade measures 20 inches in length with a signed tang, the blade surface exhibiting considerable surface corrosion, with a blunted tip. Lacquered wood scabbard with a brown leather field cover. There is a 5 inch section of missing wood on one side of the scabbard at the throat.
