US Post Civil War, Union Veterans Legion Encampment Medal, Washington 1909

Original period manufacture. A fine quality bronze medal from one of the lesser known post Civil War Veteran's Societies, Union Veterans Legion. Comprised of Union Veterans who volunteered for service prior to 1863 (pre-draft) and who served for at least two years. This particular example was worn by a representative to the Washington Encampment in 1909. Excellent condition, measures 90 mm.
