Original era manufacture. A nice quality hat of a Field Grade US Army Officer (Major-Colonel), made by the firm of FLIGHT ACE. Size marked 7 1/4, complete with all insignia, and sporting gold wire oakleaf decoration directly embroidered into the black wool covered visor. Normal age and wear.
