German Mfg, Peruvian M1909 Bayonet & Scabbard, Simson & Co

Original era manufacture. Identical to the German army issue S98 bayonet but made for export to Peru. Complete with its original black leather bodied scabbard. The bayonet is very clean no issues with the metal surfaces, beyond some very light staining from cosmoline, really only storage wear. There is a 4-digit serial number on the guard and one on the frog stud, which do not match, no Imperial German crown proofs to be seen anywhere, only the Simson & Co. Suhl name on the ricasso.Original finish wooden grips showing light marring from handling and storage, very sound black leather bodied scabbard with tight stitching and bright steel throat. Really a very nice example.
