Description

Original period manufacture. Nice quality four-piece ladder badge of an alloy metal, honoring the memory of Company D, 128th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. The 128th saw combat in two major battles, Antietam in 1862, and Chancellorsville in May of 1863. Suffering the loss of 118 casualties at Antietam, and nearly one half of the regiment captured at Chancellorsville. It was mustered out on the 19th of May 1863.
