Croydon ARP Grouping.

Ephemera grouping pertaining to a Miss Joan French of Croydon Civil Defence services. Features various photographs including one of the personnel of Warden's Post M.64 Shirley, Croydon with fine detail of uniforms, badges etc. Accompanied by various BRCS and St.John certificates for completion of ARP and First Aid training. There is also a clipping showing that appears to show that Joan's mother organised the WVS Housewife's Service for Shirley. Some research ( included ) indicates that Joan served with the WLA which is born out by her Nat.ID card. Accompanied by a quantity of pre and post war ephemera which adds to the history of the French family.
